When building the first prototype in 2007, Rick wasn’t trying to build a business. He was trying to avoid ruining something he cared about.

He loved the design of his BMW — the curves, the details.

So when he needed a gauge, the last thing he wanted was some bulky add-on stuck to the dash. That kind of “mod” felt like vandalism.

But no matter where he looked, everything was ugly and looked completely out of place.

No other gauges respected the car’s design...

so he built his own.

At home. Alone. From scratch. A gauge that worked beautifully, looked right, and blended into the dashboard like it had always been there.

He shared about it in a forum and it turned out, he wasn’t the only one who cared. Many wanted one too.

His first forum post turned into pre-orders. Those pre-orders became the beginning of P3.

The philosophy hasn’t changed since.
