The connection, explained
Three parts. One connected setup.
Start at the steering column and work toward the driver. The vehicle-specific hub creates the foundation; the wheel makes it yours.
01
Hub adapter
Fits your vehicle’s steering shaft and provides the mounting flange for your aftermarket setup. Full-height and short hubs offer different starting positions.

02
Quick release or spacer
A quick release locks the wheel to the hub and lets you detach it. A spacer creates a fixed extension. Some hubs also allow the wheel to bolt on directly.

03
Steering wheel
Choose the rim material, diameter, dish and finish that suit your build. The wheel bolts to the matching release, spacer or hub flange.
Leather / suede / wood grain / different profiles
Six bolts. Matching patterns. The right hub.
This builder focuses on the six-bolt MOMO / Sparco / NRG ecosystem. The hub still has to fit your specific vehicle. Bolt-circle diameter, orientation, fasteners and clearance must match at each connection; six holes alone do not guarantee fit. Grant-style five-bolt parts are outside this builder.

Your hub comes first.
We will match the correct full-height or short hub to your year, make, model and column. No hub is marked compatible in this design preview.

Two ways to connect
Release it. Or keep it fixed.
Quick release
More room. More flexibility.
A quick release adds a detachable joint between your hub and wheel. Its installed length also changes where the rim sits.
Remove the wheel for easier entry and exit, especially around a race seat or cage.
Bring a flat wheel closer and create clearance from column controls—check stalk reach and total depth.
Take the wheel with you when parked as an added theft deterrent. It does not replace vehicle security.
Fixed spacer
A simple, fixed extension.
A spacer moves the steering wheel toward the driver without a detachable mechanism. Select the length around your seating position.
A permanently bolted connection with no release action.
Useful when additional reach or control clearance is the priority.
Match both mounting faces and use the manufacturer’s specified hardware.
Built for your discipline
Planning a competition setup?
Explore dedicated racing releases, including SFI-labeled models. Confirm the exact product certification and your sanctioning body’s rules; certification does not establish street suitability or vehicle fitment.
The wheel-facing mounting pattern can be shared across compatible aftermarket components. The shaft-facing connection is vehicle-specific. Select the correct hub for your car before building the rest of the package.
Will any six-bolt wheel fit any six-bolt release?+
Check the complete mounting pattern. Six-bolt products can have different bolt-circle diameters and orientations. The mating faces, center clearance and fasteners also matter. We will verify the actual parts in your package.
Do I need a quick release?+
No. A compatible fixed spacer is an alternative when you want more reach. Some full-height hubs allow direct wheel mounting. Short hubs may be designed specifically for a release; check the hub manufacturer’s instructions.
What happens to the airbag, horn and steering-wheel controls?+
Replacing the factory wheel can remove the driver airbag and affect the horn, clock spring, controls or vehicle systems. Horn contacts do not preserve all factory functions. Confirm your vehicle’s requirements and each product’s intended use with a qualified installer.
How do I choose the right wheel position?+
Consider hub height, release or spacer length, wheel dish and seating position together. Check reach to the rim and stalks, instrument visibility and clearance through steering movement. More extension is not automatically better.
