This is the PERRIN Performance Super Shifter Stop. The 2015-2017 Subaru WRX has a lot of inherent horizontal slop within the 1st and 2nd gear shift gates, and there is nearly 1-inch of play in the transmission from the factory, and after the PERRIN Super Shifter Stop is installed, the horizontal slop is reduced to 0.12" of movement to provide a more solid shifter feel. Additionally, there is 0.70" of vertical shifter slop from the factory, and the Super Shifter will reduce the vertical movement down to 0.20". This unit has been perfectly designed to bolt directly to the shifter. It allows for countless downshifts from 3rd to 2nd gear without the worry of damaging the shifter stop or shifter. This is a great upgrade that will help provide a more connected driving experience between the driver and the transmission.
