Frequently Asked Questions
Will this sensor work on my specific engine — 4.0L, V8, or 2.5L?
This sensor is sized and threaded for factory mounting on the listed vehicle years and models. Verify your exhaust manifold threads match M18x1.5 standard before installation.
Do I need special tools to install this, or can I use a regular oxygen sensor socket?
A dedicated oxygen sensor socket (typically 22mm or 30mm depending on sensor design) makes removal and installation cleaner. You can hand-tighten it with an adjustable wrench if needed—sensor should be snug but not over-torqued.
Will this clear my check engine light?
This sensor will allow the engine computer to read oxygen levels correctly once installed. If your light is on because of a bad sensor code (P0130–P0139 range), the light should clear after the engine cycles. Other codes require separate diagnosis.
