Frequently Asked Questions
Will this condenser work with my existing AC lines and compressor?
Yes — this is a direct replacement that connects to your factory AC lines. Your existing compressor, hoses, and accumulator will mate up without modification. Have a certified AC tech handle the evacuation, flush, and recharge to protect your system.
Do I need to drain my refrigerant before removing the old condenser?
Yes. You must have a certified technician evacuate the refrigerant from your system before disconnecting any AC lines. Venting refrigerant yourself is illegal and damages the environment. After the old condenser comes out and the new one goes in, the system gets flushed, recharged, and pressure-tested.
What tools do I need to swap this in myself?
You'll need a jack, jack stands, basic wrenches, and a socket set to disconnect the mounting bolts and AC line fittings. A torque wrench is smart for getting bolt tension right. The hard part — refrigerant handling — has to go to a shop with EPA certification. The condenser swap itself is straightforward once the system is empty.
