Will this mirror work with my factory wiring harness?
These mirrors are designed to integrate with OEM electrical connections. Your factory wiring should plug directly into the mirror assembly — no additional harnesses needed. If your 500 came equipped with power mirrors from the factory, you're all set.
Does the mirror glass fog up, and can the heating function clear it?
The heating element is built into the mirror glass itself. It warms the surface to melt frost and evaporate condensation — same principle as a rear defogger. Works best in light to moderate cold; extreme conditions may require a few minutes to fully clear.
What if the power function stops working after installation?
Test your door's power window and lock switches first — they share the same electrical circuit on most vehicles. If those work fine but the mirror doesn't, check the connector at the mirror assembly for corrosion or loose pins. A loose connection is the most common culprit and takes seconds to reseat.
