Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to replace the wheel speed sensor?
Most OEM hubs integrate the sensor. Verify your current assembly before ordering — if the sensor is integral to the old hub, it transfers to the new one. If it's a separate bolt-on, check compatibility with the replacement unit.
Can I reuse the axle nut or do I need a new one?
Always use a new axle nut during installation. The old nut loses its locking properties once removed and cannot be torqued to spec reliably a second time — this is critical on AWD where axle load is constant.
What tools do I need to swap these out?
You'll want a socket set, a breaker bar for the axle nut, a jack with stands, and a wheel hub puller if the old assembly is seized. A torque wrench is essential for setting the axle nut to spec — do not estimate tightness on this component.
