You'll need an oxygen sensor socket (cheap, widely available) and a ratchet. The sensors unscrew from the exhaust manifold by hand once heated slightly — no fabrication or drilling involved.
Will these throw a check engine light if the old sensors are still in the car?
Yes. Remove the old sensors completely before installing these. Leaving old hardware in place triggers fault codes and defeats the purpose of the replacement.
