Drain the existing coolant into a clean container before removal. The recovery tank itself doesn't hold pressurized coolant — it catches overflow and allows refill. You can transfer coolant back into the new tank once it's mounted.
Will this fit without modifying any hoses or brackets?
This tank mounts at factory points with no modifications required. Check that all hose connections and overflow lines align with your setup before final torquing — minor repositioning of lines may be needed depending on age of existing rubber.
Can I paint or coat this tank if needed?
The white finish is ready to use as-is. If you want a different color, light sanding and standard automotive spray paint or powder coating will adhere without primer. Test on a hidden area first if using specialty coatings.
