Do I need a special key to remove the locking nuts?
Yes. The 4 locking nuts come with a matching key. Keep that key safe — you'll need it to remove those nuts later. Standard socket won't work on locking nuts without the key.
Can I paint these, or do they come finished?
They arrive finished in aluminum orange. If you want a different color, light abrasion and spray paint will work, but test on one nut first to ensure the finish bonds properly to bare aluminum.
