Frequently Asked Questions
Does this condenser come with receiver-drier or expansion valve?
Condenser assembly only — receiver-drier and expansion valve are separate components. Both should be flushed and replaced during installation to prevent contamination and system failure.
What tools and refrigerant recovery equipment do I need to install this?
You'll need a refrigerant recovery machine (required by EPA), vacuum pump, manifold gauge set, and basic hand tools. This is not a bolt-and-go job — proper evacuation and recharge are critical. If you don't have the equipment, a shop install is your move.
Can I reuse the old AC lines and hoses connected to this condenser?
Inspect the existing lines for cracks, kinks, or corrosion first. If they're damaged or more than a few years old, replace them — old hoses can introduce moisture and particles into a new condenser and kill the system. New lines cost less than another condenser.
