Do I need to remove the entire mirror assembly to swap the glass?
You may be able to replace just the glass depending on your mirror design—some clip in from inside the housing. If your glass is glued, you'll need to remove the assembly first. Check your specific model's mirror construction before starting.
Will this fit if my mirror housing is cracked or damaged?
This is glass only, so it won't repair a broken housing. If your plastic mirror body is cracked or the mounting tabs are damaged, you'll need to replace the whole mirror assembly instead.
What if the glass doesn't align perfectly after installation?
Test-fit the lens in the housing first. If the tabs don't line up flush, stop and verify you have the correct side and generation. Forcing a misaligned lens can crack the glass or damage the mounting points in your housing.
