Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install this wrap directly on my exhaust manifold or does it need prep?
Wrap it straight onto clean exhaust surfaces. Wire brush any loose scale or debris first—clean contact helps the wrap grip without sliding during engine vibration. Soak the wrap in water slightly before installing; it's easier to work with and conforms better to bends.
Will this wrap stay put with just the zip ties, or do I need adhesive?
The zip ties are enough if you space them every 6–8 inches and cinch them snug. Wrap spirals around the pipe and ties hold it down. Some builders add high-temp adhesive tape underneath for added security, especially on curved sections, but it's not required.
How do I know if 50 feet is enough for my setup?
Measure your headers, runners, and downpipe end-to-end. Most single-turbo builds need 30–40 feet. Dual setups push closer to 50. If you're wrapping multiple components, order conservatively—leftover wrap stores flat for future use.
