Once the front brakes on your Mk4 Golf, Jetta, or Beetle are sufficiently upgraded, you'll want to step up to these great rear brakes. Brakes like this are used on both the GTI 337 edition and Golf R32 and the performance is outstanding. The new rear discs are 256mm diameter, up from the stock 232mm, and are radially-vented (like the front discs) to reduce fade. The base conversion kit includes new OE rotors, Mintex pads, calipers and carriers. Installation of the base kit requires minor modification of the original splash shields to clear the larger discs. Optionally, we offer a full conversion kit that includes new factory splash shields, and the required rear wheel hub/bearing assemblies (splash shield replacement requires removal of the rear hubs, which can damage the bearings, forcing replacement).
