This cylinder head will also swap onto all AMC Inline six 4.2L engines. This cylinder head must be used with a 1991-2006 intake manifold and a 1991-1998 exhaust manifold. Aftermarket exhaust headers can also be used in place of 1991-1998 exhaust manifolds and MUST be used in place of 1999-2006 exhaust manifolds. Most aftermarket exhaust headers are compatible, but please check with the exhaust header manufacture to verify. This head is NOT compatible with 1999-2006 OEM exhaust manifolds. No modifications are required to the water jacket when swapping an Edelbrock Jeep Performer 4.0L head onto a 4.2L. This cylinder head is a direct bolt-on to 1991-2006 applications originally using 7120, 0360, and 0331 castings. This head will also bolt onto 1987-90 engines (2686 casting) with the 1991-2006 intake manifolds & 1991-1998 exhaust manifolds or aftermarket headers. This cylinder head will also swap onto all AMC Inline six 4.2L engines. However, this swap will require the use of a 4.0L 1991-2006 intake & exhaust manifolds.
