Do I need to drain my cooling system before installing this?
Yes. Disconnect the upper and lower hoses, open the drain plug on the radiator, and let it empty into a catch pan. Flush the system if the old coolant looks contaminated before refilling with new coolant and bleeding air from the system.
Will this radiator come with new hose clamps and coolant?
The radiator ships as a bare assembly. Bring new hose clamps and fresh coolant to the job—reusing old clamps can cause leaks, and old coolant loses its corrosion inhibitors over time.
What if the radiator leaks after I install it?
Inspect the hose connections and clamps first—loose fittings are the most common cause. If the core itself weeps, check all mounting hardware is tight and there's no debris blocking airflow, which can cause overpressure. Return it within the standard return window if the seal fails under normal conditions.
