Does this require wiring work to the vehicle's electrical system?
The switch mounts to the factory dash location and connects to existing fog light wiring points. If your RAV4 came with fog light pre-wiring from the factory, installation is plug-and-play. If not, you'll need to run a dedicated circuit from the battery—a task best handled by someone comfortable with basic automotive wiring.
Can I use a different bulb, or am I locked into H11?
H11 is the correct bulb type for this assembly. You can swap in different H11 options (brighter, warmer color temp, etc.) as long as they're H11-compatible, but the socket is designed for that fitment only.
Does the smoke lens require any prep work before installation?
The lenses come finished and ready to install. Wipe down the mounting area on your vehicle to ensure good seating, then secure to the factory mounting points. No sanding, priming, or painting needed.
