Does this grille use the same bolts as the OEM unit?
The mounting points are factory-spec, but hardware is not included with this assembly. Save your original fasteners from the old grille — they'll work here. If you need new hardware, standard metric bolts work at the factory attachment points.
Will the chrome frame scratch or peel off?
The chrome is applied as part of the assembly, not as a plating layer. It won't flake under normal conditions, but heavy contact or pressure washing at close range can scuff it like any chrome trim. Treat it the same way you'd treat factory chrome bumper trim.
Do I need to prep or paint this before installing?
