Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need new gaskets and hardware when I install this?
Gaskets and bolts are not included with the converter. Grab fresh gaskets for both the upstream and downstream flanges—reusing old ones is how leaks start. Hardware (bolts, nuts, clamps) should be OEM spec or equivalent; check your shop manual for torque specs.
Will this converter fit if my exhaust has aftermarket piping?
This converter is designed for factory exhaust geometry. If your system has been modified or rerouted, test-fit before purchase. Misalignment with custom piping can cause fitment issues or leaks.
Can I install this myself, or do I need a lift?
You'll need access underneath to unbolt the old converter and slide the new one in. A lift is recommended but not mandatory if you're comfortable with jack stands. Plan 1–2 hours depending on how stuck the old fasteners are.
