Will this pump work with my factory washer reservoir?
Yes. This pump is designed for direct bolt-in installation on OEM Civic reservoirs from 2001–2005. No adapter or modification needed — just disconnect the old pump, connect the new one, and you're done.
Do I need to drain the reservoir before installing this pump?
You don't have to, but it's cleaner if you do. Depending on your reservoir design, you may be able to disconnect and swap the pump with minimal spillage. If the pump sits at the bottom, draining first makes the job easier.
What if the pump doesn't prime on first start?
Air can get trapped in the lines. Fill your washer fluid reservoir, then trigger the spray several times while the engine is running. The pump will bleed air and begin spraying normally within a few cycles.
