To make these arms as much at home on the street as they are on the trail, the lower ball joints are of a metal on metal and greaseable design to avoid the short service life and noises typically associated with uniballs while also being able to withstand the abuses of aggressive off-road use. The inner pivot bushings are bonded polyurethane to the outer sleeve and unbonded inner sleeve to minimize deflection and improve handling characteristics while allowing unhindered suspension movement though the entire travel range. Additionally, these specialty bushings do not require any greasing or other maintenance throughout their service life.
