FT Input Expander Manual
Take your engine management system to the next level with the FT Input Expander, which adds 24 additional inputs to your PowerFT line ECUs, FT450, FT550, FT550LITE, and FT600. We developed the FT Input Expander in response to requests from top teams racing in the Pro Mod category who had used all available inputs on the FT600, our most advanced EFI system equipped with 20 inputs, but wanted to datalog information from additional sensors. The FT Input Expander provides 20 additional analog inputs (0-5v signal) and 4 inputs for VR sensors (magnetic sensors). This is the perfect solution for anyone who has used all of the available inputs on their FuelTech engine management system but wants to datalog additional sensors.
This the FuelTech input Expander, all data is sent via CAN network to the ECU. Readings from the sensors wired to the expander will be saved in the ECUs internal datalog file, eliminating the need for additional equipment and analyzing separate datalog files. To install the input expander, simply wire power and ground, connect the CAN bus connector to the ECU, and wire the orange wires to the sensors you want to add. All settings and configuration are done through our FTManager software.
