But when the trailer is balanced and the hitch is set up correctly, it can reduce the constant steering corrections that make long highway pulls exhausting.

LT tires are often a practical choice for heavier towing applications, but the correct tire depends on the vehicle, wheel size, ride expectations, and load requirements.

Check the wheel’s load rating too. A tough-looking aftermarket wheel is not automatically rated for the axle load your truck sees with a trailer attached. Verify fitment, load capacity, lug-seat compatibility, and proper torque procedures. If you have added larger tires, confirm they do not reduce clearance at full lock or cause rubbing under suspension compression.
