Yes. Use a new header gasket at the engine flange connection — do not reuse the old one. Torque to factory specifications per your service manual.
Will I need to modify the exhaust piping to connect this header?
The header bolts to your factory mounting points. Your existing downstream exhaust piping should connect at the collector outlet — verify fitment before final assembly.
Should I wrap or paint this header before installation?
Stainless steel won't rust, so wrapping or paint is optional. Many builders wrap headers to reduce underhood heat and protect wiring. Ceramic coating or heat wrap are common choices if you want to reduce radiant heat.
