Do I need a hood pin or catch once I install this hinge?
Hood pins or prop rods are separate from the hinge itself and depend on how your vehicle is set up. Check your current hood setup to see if a pin is already in use — if it is, you'll want one on the replacement too.
Will this fit if my hood latch has been damaged?
The hinge and latch are separate components. A new hinge won't compensate for a broken or worn latch — both need to work together for the hood to latch and hold securely. Inspect your latch before ordering.
What's the difference between the driver and passenger hinge?
They're mirrored — a driver-side hinge won't bolt up correctly on the passenger side. Double-check your vehicle's side before checkout. Mounting holes and geometry don't match across sides.
