Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need bolts to install this?
The 3-bolt flanges are ready to bolt to your factory exhaust ports and mid-pipe, but hardware is not included. You'll need six bolts (three per flange) — check your service manual for the correct size and torque spec for your vehicle.
Can I reuse my factory bolts?
Most factory exhaust bolts are one-time use and should be replaced when you disconnect and reconnect. Grab a fresh set of exhaust bolts in the correct size before installation — they're inexpensive and designed to handle the thermal cycles.
What if my exhaust has surface rust or corrosion?
Wire-brush the factory flange surfaces where the flex pipe will bolt on. Make sure both mating surfaces are clean and flat for a solid seal. The flex pipe itself is stainless steel braided, so it resists rust — but the connection needs a clean surface.
