Do I need special tools to install this, or will a basic wrench work?
Socket and wrench are all you need — standard sensor socket or 22mm wrench removes it. Disconnect the battery before unplugging the old sensor, unthread it, thread the new one in hand-tight first, then snug with your socket. Let the engine cool if you're replacing a bad sensor that's been running.
Will this sensor work if my check engine light is already on?
This sensor will clear a code only if the original sensor was actually failing. If you have a different fault (misfire, vacuum leak, bad catalytic converter), this won't solve that — clear or read the code first to confirm the sensor is the culprit.
What's the return process if this doesn't fit or doesn't work?
Contact our support team with your VIN and photos of the connector and mounting boss. We'll verify fitment and process a return or replacement — just make sure the sensor arrives in resalable condition.
