Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to polish or seal the aluminum before installation?
Aluminum will oxidize naturally over time, which is cosmetic only. If you want a polished finish, clean with a soft brush and use aluminum polish before final assembly. Once installed and clamps are tight, the finish won't be visible.
What clamp style comes with this kit, and are they reusable?
The kit includes matching clamps sized for 2.75" tubing. Standard worm-gear clamps are reusable if you need to break the piping apart later, though you'll get the best seal by replacing them with fresh clamps on reassembly.
Can I cut and reconfigure these pipes to fit my layout?
Yes. Aluminum is easily cut with a hacksaw or band saw. After cutting, deburr the edges with a file to ensure clean clamp seating and prevent damage to intercooler fittings.
