DC Sports Short Ram Intake - 1994-2001 Acura Integra
Want to hear your Integra breathe? The DC Sports short ram intake replaces the factory rubber intake pipe with a smooth mandrel-bent aluminum tube and an open conical filter. This frees up induction noise and sharpens throttle response compared to the restrictive factory airbox. It's designed for GS, LS, RS, Special Edition, and Type R trims, and it bolts in without cutting or modifying anything.
Induction Sound and Throttle Response
The factory airbox is designed to be quiet. This intake's designed to let you hear what the engine's doing. The open filter setup gives you pronounced induction noise under load, and the smooth aluminum tube helps throttle response feel more immediate compared to the restrictive rubber pipe Honda used. If you want to hear your VTEC crossover and get sharper response on tip-in, this intake delivers.
Short Ram Design
Short ram intakes sit high in the engine bay instead of down near the bumper like cold air intakes. This means they're pulling warmer air from the engine bay instead of cooler air from outside, but it also means you're not risking hydrolocking your engine if you drive through standing water. For a street-driven Integra, the short ram design's more practical.
