Frequently Asked Questions
Will this radiator need flushing or pressure testing before install?
Yeah, flush the cooling system and inspect the new radiator for any internal debris before bolting it in. A pressure test on the old system helps confirm whether your water pump or heater core is also failing — radiator alone won't fix a bigger cooling problem.
Do I need new hose clamps or a fresh thermostat with this swap?
Clamps are reusable if they're not corroded or stretched. Thermostat is separate — not included here. Consider replacing it if your temp gauge was running high or cycling before the radiator gave out.
What if the radiator arrives with coolant still inside or showing minor discoloration?
Drain it completely and flush the core with distilled water before install. Light discoloration is normal on used cores — pressure test it under load to verify there are no micro-leaks. If the test fails, contact us for a return.
