The radiator itself mounts at factory points with no modifications needed. Check your existing upper and lower hoses before installation — if they're original to an 87-95 740/940, reuse them. Replace any hose that shows cracks or hardening.
Do I need to drain the entire cooling system before pulling the old radiator?
Yes. Drain the system fully before disconnecting hoses and unbolting the old unit. This prevents spillage and gives you a clean install when you mount the replacement.
Can I use my existing transmission cooler lines, or do they need replacement?
