Depends on your comfort level. You can disconnect the hoses without a full flush if you're quick, but draining into a clean pan first keeps mess minimal and lets you inspect the old coolant condition.
Will this tank work with my existing hoses and clamps?
Factory mounting points mean your OEM connection points line up. Inspect your existing hoses for cracks or hardening—if they look compromised, replace them while you're in there.
What if I need to install this but the connection diameter feels tight?
Some hoses can shrink slightly over time. Test-fit dry first. If the hose won't slide on, warm it gently with hot water to soften the rubber, then push it on and secure with the factory clamp style.
