Blade mCX Anniversary Special Edition Introduction

When they were first released in 2005, the original E-flite Blade series CP and CX helicopters took the market by storm. They made it more affordable, easier, and practical for more people to enjoy flying RC helicopters than ever before! The Blade® mCX was the world’s first ultra-micro sized coaxial (CX) heli and more people learned to fly with it than any other model – ever. Weighing in at only one ounce it can be flown almost anywhere indoors, and due to the incredible stability of the coaxial and counter-rotating rotor head design, it can be flown by nearly anyone. This Special Edition release celebrates the 20th anniversary of Blade along with the 40th anniversary of Horizon Hobby! It’s available in two versions including a convenient all-in-one-box RTF (Ready-To-Fly) version that includes a Spektrum transmitter, battery, and charger. Or in a BNF (Bind-N-Fly®) Basic version that allows you to use your choice of a compatible Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 equipped transmitter, battery, and charger. The optional glow-in-the-dark parts plus the body set with lights from the mCX2 are also available again!

Blade mCX Anniversary Special Edition Overview

The Blade® mCX is an ultra micro-sized version of the Blade CX/CX2 that makes it easy for first-time pilots to learn to fly successfully and gives experienced heli pilots the ability to fly anytime and anywhere indoors. It features excellent stability thanks to the coaxial, counter-rotating head design along with reliable Spektrum 2.4GHz control. And, thanks to its rotor span of just 7.5 inches and one-ounce flying weight, the Blade mCX can be flown indoors almost anywhere—from a small bedroom to a living room, in an office, gymnasium, and beyond.

It arrives 100% factory-assembled, flight-tested, and ready to fly right out of the box—no assembly or setup required. The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes everything needed to fly in one box and is a perfect choice for first-time to experienced pilots looking for maximum convenience and value. From the Spektrum MLP4DSM 2.4GHz transmitter to the 1S 150mAh LiPo battery and a convenient USB charger that can be used with a variety of power sources, there's nothing extra you need to buy or provide! A BNF Basic version is also available for pilots who want to use their favorite Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 equipped transmitter along with batteries and chargers they may already own.

Both versions are extremely durable so they’re tough enough to handle most crashes and keep on flying. But if you damage any airframe parts or components and can't repair them, a full line of replacement/spare parts is readily available. Extra batteries along with optional glow-in-the-dark parts, a red canopy and fin, plus the “full” body set with lights from the mCX2 are also available separately!
