Test-fit before finalizing installation. Some aftermarket guards shift the grille opening slightly — measure your current opening against the assembly dimensions to confirm clearance.
Do I need hardware to install this, or does it come with mounting brackets?
Assembly comes as shown. Mounting hardware is not included — use your truck's existing fasteners where the old grille was bolted. Most installs reuse OEM clips and bolts.
Can I repaint the chrome parts or will the finish scratch easily?
Chrome is durable in normal conditions but can mark under contact. If you plan to repaint, sand and prep the chrome frame with 220-grit or finer before primer and paint application — check the chrome's base material (plastic or metal) before committing to adhesion method.
