Autotech offers a sport 22mm master cylinder. The result will be a firmer pedal, with reduced pedal travel. It is a direct fit on German built cars produced after 1\/84 (cabrio\/scirocco). Earlier Mk1 chassis vehicles built in Germany will require the changing of the vacuum booster and fluid reservoir (sold below) as well. US-built Mk1 cars will require modification or replacement of the brake pedal linkage. Some cars are factory-equipped with a 22mm master cylinder.
