If your system lacks low-end punch or your factory stereo forgot that bass matters, the Soundstream BX-12 Digital Bass Processor fixes that gap with precision.

The BX-12 digitally detects and restores missing bass harmonics—lost during audio compression or stripped from factory radios—so you hear your music with the impact it was meant to have. From EDM to Banda, from Rock to Jazz, the BX-12 revives the deep tones your system was built for.

Digital Bass Restoration Technology

Unlike standard signal boosters, the BX-12 is a bass reconstruction processor that intelligently analyzes and rebuilds low frequencies. Its internal processor identifies missing harmonic content in real-time, then reconstructs it to reproduce the feel and weight of a live performance. This isn't just louder bass—it's smarter, deeper, and more accurate.

Onboard Control Features

Fine-tuning your sound is easy with dedicated onboard controls. The SWEEP knob allows you to select the center frequency for bass enhancement, adjustable between 27 Hz and 63 Hz. This means you can target the bass range that suits your music or subwoofer setup best.

The WIDTH knob controls the bandwidth or Q of the processed bass frequencies, letting you decide if the enhancement is narrow and focused or broad and full.

For on-the-fly adjustment, the included dash-mounted remote lets you control bass intensity from the driver’s seat—perfect for adjusting output by track or genre without pulling over or navigating your head unit.

System Integration

The BX-12 is designed to fit easily into both factory and aftermarket car audio systems. It includes balanced RCA inputs and outputs for clean signal management and connects via 12V power, ground, and remote wire terminals.

This makes it ideal for users who want to upgrade bass performance without overhauling their entire system. Whether you're integrating into an OEM unit or expanding an SPL build, the BX-12 slides into your setup effortlessly.

Built for Real-World Use

You’ll get the most out of the BX-12 if:

You're using a factory stereo that lacks subwoofer control

You play compressed music formats like MP3s or streams

Your current system sounds clean but lacks low-end response

You’re building a Soundstream Bass Xtreme system

This processor fills in what compression and stock systems take away, letting your subwoofers perform the way they were meant to.

Owner's Manual [PDF]

QUICK HOW-TO INSTALL GUIDE

BX Features

Dash Mount Remote Control

Bass Restoration Lighted Display

Parametric Bass Control

PFM Subsonic Filter

Balanced Inputs

Bass Output Control

PWM High Head Room Power Supply

Output Level: 13.5 volt

Frequency Response: 10Hz 100KHz

THD: 0.003%

S/N Ratio: 130dB

Balanced Input Noise Rejection: 60 dB

More from Soundstream

Explore these related options.
